Meghan: Okay, you can check it under settings > about device. Visitor: is there another way to look for the model number on the phone? I don't want to take the battery out as it's updating some files right now Meghan: May I know the model number of your phone ? You can find the model number beneath the phone's battery which generally starts with SGH, SCH or SPH.

However when I move them to the sd card storage I can no longer play them Visitor: I can play them when they are on the device storage. Meghan: I understand that you want to play the songs that are copied from the itunes from the playlist. Visitor: but that does not work for me because I want playlisrs Visitor: i can only play them by going to "my files" and then clicking on the songs Visitor: I transferred the music files to the micro sd card, and then when I click on the "music" app on the phone, none of the files are there

I downloaded doubletwis, got my music files on the phone, and everything worked fine. Visitor: I just switched to this phone from an iphone and I'm having a bit of a problem figuring out the itunes issue. Meghan: Please let me know the issue that you are facing with the SD-card and files in the device. I've looked through some forums and I can't seem to get my answer Visitor: I am having issues with my music files and the micro sd card. Visitor: Hi! I actually have a galaxy s5, but that was not an option in the dropdown menu Meghan: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Technical Support. I contacted samsung support and I'm not sure if it's me, but they don't get what I'm saying. They is extremely annoying because that option only has all my thousands of songs in one giant list, no playlists/albums/artists, etc. I can play the songs only if I go to "my files" -> "sd card" -> "music". Now, when I open the same music app it is empty. I moved all of the songs to the micro sd so that I can have more storage space on the device itself. When I open the "music" app (which I'm assuming is a samsung app as it came pre installed on my device) all my playlists/artists/songs are there perfectly. I used "DoubleTwist" to transfer all my songs from iTunes to the s5. I have searched everywhere for an answer and can't find one.

The update is already rolling out for both, for those who already have it.I just finally switched from an iPhone to the new Samsung Galaxy s5, so excuse me if this is a redundant question.

If you don’t have either app yet but you have a lot of actual music files you want to listen to, you can download either from the Google Play Store. It can support files like mp3, AAC, FLAC, and LAC. If you ripped it from apps like iTunes or EAC/LAME, it already has that embedded metadata needed. However, the only thing this feature requires is that your audio file has to have the special metadata that can enable this gapless playback. So whether the song is saved on your smartphone or it is stored in the cloud on your Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive account, you can experience gapless playback now through the app. Not all music players have that capability but the latest update has brought it to both Classic Player and CloudPlayer. If you don’t know what gapless playback is, it’s an option where you can play your audio tracks continuously as if one long song, without the usual pauses in between songs as with the regular playback.
